Sitting atop the crater within an ancient and dormant volcano lies the small town of Hollowtop Village. Despite not being often frequented by travelers, Hollowtop is still a vibrant and reasonably wealthy community. Mines deep within the nearby mountains supply the village with ample sources of precious metals and gems, including gold, silver, diamonds, rubies, and most other stones. It is not nearly as prolific in the mining of metals as Borgost in Taelmoor, but it remains one of the world's best sources of precious gems. In addition, it is the only large-scale operation in the world that mines obsidian. Most of the trade with Hollowtop is done via caravan or air balloon - given that most of its exports are light in weight and high in value usually balloons are opted for, as they are much more difficult to rob.
