The Northern District of Vale is the home of the Stoutsmen, including their headquarters - the great Citadel - and the largest prison in Vale - the Spire. This is considered by many to be the most lawful area in the entire world due to being overrun with the law-enforcing people of the Stoutsmen, however this historian will disagree with that point. Being made up of flawed humans, this area is just as corrupt and dangerous as any other. Still, one can expect to walk freely and likely avoid being molested, unlike some other areas of the city (never again shall I visit the accursed Vale Southwest District)!
Although lesser known, due to the Gateway to the North extending from this district, massive amounts of trade occur here - more than in all of Erkwan.
